Well I finished decorating my Tree.  I came out rather nicely.  Christmas Trees do not take good pictures.  Or maybe I don't take good Christmas Tree pictures.  Oh well it is really pretty in person.

Wednesday Post

I did go out for lunch.  It was lovely Shelby.  I also took some pictures in front of my house.  The weather is wonderful.  Here are pics to prove it.  Love to all.

Tuesday Post

So here's the deal,  I did not get out to take pictures today.  I washed some clothes.  I took a nap and read a book.  I watched some TV.  I made pancakes for a late breakfast.  

Tomorrow I have a lunch date.  Perhaps I will take a picture or two.  The weather is supposed to cool down later in the week.  Oh well life is good.  This is my dog Buddy supervising this blog event.

I am at home for a week.

Autumn is coming.

I miss the changing colors of autumn.  I am an East Texas native, but lived for several year in the Northeastern part of the U.S.  Fall colors are one of the things I miss about this part of the U.S.  So enjoy this picture of what a great fall day really is.  Love to all.

I got home from the hospital.  I found this to meet me!

Whats going on with me!

I had chest pains Friday evening.  So Tom and I took a trip to the emergency room.  I was admitted.  The hospital ran tests.  One of the the tests was a heart cath.  In the process of running this test they found a blockage.  They put in a stint.  This was yesterday.  They tell me I will be going home sometime today.  Well will tell you more later.  Keep me in your prayers.

September Week End

Friday night.  The end of the work week.  Tomorrow is SATURDAY!  Tom and I are going to a Birthday Party for Aunt Norma.  We are going to a local eatery to celebrate.  I hope we have good weather.  I want to take some pics of the family.

SUMMER IN TEXAS 2010

We had a picnic here Sunday afternoon. We had a lot of fun.  A couple of the guest had more fun than they could handle.  Have a good Fourth of July Weekend.

Mother's Day 2010

I spent this Mother's Day with my mom and my sisters.  It was a very good day.  We got a bench for my mother's front yard for my mother.  Here is a picture of all of us on the bench.

Spanish Moss

My husband found some Spanish Moss a couple of years ago.  He hung it on this metal bracket at our apartment.  It is still there and it is growing.  I did not know moss could grow anywhere but on a tree.

The Day after St. Patrick's Day 2010

The day after St. Patrick's Day is a beautiful spring day.  I went out with my camera to take some pictures.  Over the next few weeks I will be documenting the growth of the bluebonnets on the property.

The quality of the light at about 6:15 pm today was amazing, as you can see in this picture off my deck.

Spring Forward!

Tonight is the night we lose an hour. (Spring Forward) It means Spring is here.  My son, William and I drove to Galveston today.  It was a gorgeous day.  We walked on the beach.

We walked down a jetty.

We went to Moody Gardens.  We took a trip on the Colonel.

 We looked at the exhibits.  And William went Ice Skating on the outdoor rink in March in Texas on the coast.

We saw the penguins and the fish.

Here is a Tom watching TV with Taco in his lap.  He is watching hunting and fishing shows.

Spring -- A Very Long Time Coming.

I was in the grocery store today.  In the floral section, there were hyacinths.  The smell was heavenly.  I am so looking forward to Spring.  The weather here in Texas has be unusually cool for this time of year.  I am looking forward to Dogwoods, Redbuds, Bluebonnets, and SUNSHINE.  It can not come too soon.
 

The Ongoing Saga of Taco and Buddy

This is a picture of Taco and Buddy.  I am on my computer reading email.  The are watching me read my email and work on Farmville.  They finally got bored and went to sleep.  I am posting this and them I am going to take a Sunday afternoon nap.  Sunday naps are the best naps.

 

February 2010

The month of February is a big month for me and mine. Let see, there is Valentines Day, My Birthday, two of my three sisters birthday, and Tom and my Anniversary.

This weekend my three sisters, my mother, and I celebrated the birthdays.  We went out to a couple of meals and we shopped.

Here are couple of pictures I took this weekend.

 

This is the shared birthday cake.  As you can see there are only three candles.  Between the three of us we would have needed 170 candles.  We could not afford the fire permit.

 
 

This is (l to r) Mary the youngest, Linda, the 2nd youngest and Debbie the sister that doesn't have a birthday until October.  (another reason to have a weekend). I took the picture at the Texas Roadhouse were we had steaks on Saturday afternoon.  We were stuffed.

Vicky made the tacos. They were great.

met his cousin dogs for the first time.  A wonderful time was had by all.
