More Late Bloomers

Just recently the Crepe Myrtle next to our parking place
finally bloomed. It was very green but never
seemed to bloom it is actually white.

Tom and I are doing well. We are looking forward to some rain from Hurricane Dolly. Fortunately that is all we are getting from this storm -- a little wind and a good deal of rain. Hope all is well with everyone.

Late Bloomers

Bluebonnet in Bloom

Yesterday I was out in the yard walking around. I stopped by the wildflower garden. We had planted some Texas Bluebonnets. They did not bloom while the others bloomed. We assumed that they had been planted too late. I guess we were wrong. Here is a picture of the bluebonnet I found blooming along with a couple of other flowers.

Late July 4, 2008 Afternoon

Late in the afternoon on July 4, 2008, I took this picture off my back deck. The water in the lake was mirror smooth.








We have a small wildflower garden in yard. Some yellow flowers are really blooming right now.









They are really quite lovely.

Comings and Goings

Just to let you know about my comings and goings.
We have been pretty busy here in Porter. Working, Reading, Sewing,
and letting the dog in and out.
The weather here has been hot and humid. So most of the time has been spent indoors in the AC.
Buddy my dog has spent most of his time in the house too. He does enjoy spending time on the porch in the early evening and late at night after the sun goes down.
