Saturday Night -- Sunday Morning

It is late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, I can't decide.  It really isn't important. It is the middle of the night.  I am sitting at my computer with my two dogs.  We are wondering what the rest of the world is really doing.  It is finally quiet here.  The traffic on the road in front of the house is gone.  The neighbor's music is silent.  Now if only my mind would settle down for sleep I would be happy -- or at least able to rest.

I was thinking about point of view earlier today.  Is your point of view different at different times in your life or in your day?  If you saw or heard the same thing two days or two years apart would it be the same experience?  I don't know.  Would the strange comment you heard yesterday be merely odd or would it be disturbing if you heard it tomorrow?
Well maybe I can rest for a while.

Tuesday in Porter, TX

I woke up this am with a fever.  It is 5:30 pm here and I am just starting to feel human again.  I hope all is well with you.  I have to check on my dog Taco, for a small dog he is snoring like a mac truck.

Nine Eleven Ten Years later.

I remember but I am still here.  I still remember those who are no longer here.  I live in memory of those no longer with us.

The Ongoing Life and Times of Me

Well the weather here in Texas is finally cooling down.  It is actually cool this morning.  There has still be little to no rain.  It is windy and there are fires.

I a feeling better but no all the way back to normal.  I still am having exhausted days (for no apparent reason).  I am looking forward to the fall and the winter.  I hope you are all doing well.

What is Going On with Me.

I am at home.  It is very hot.  It only reached 98 degrees today, so cooler.  HaHa.  Ok here's the deal.   I am not as health as I would like.  I tire too easily.  A trip to Kroger is totally a lot of work.  A trip to Walmart requires a nap before and after.  I used to joke that taking naps were my hobby.  Naps have become my avocation.  In fact, taking naps make me tired.  Getting older is not my idea of a good time.

Ok, something positive.  Since doing the dishes is kind of boring and totally relaxing I am now doing a better job of doing the dishes and putting them away.  Maybe next month laundry will be relaxing.  No probably not.

Well maybe tomorrow after my morning nap I will blog again.  Maybe I'll wait til afternoon.

Be Green Carry a Bag made from Recyled Walmart Bag

Here is one of the first bag I made with Walmart and Kroger Plastic bags. A new way to recycle all those bags you stuff in a bag or drawer.

I have been pretty busy making them.  I have several on hand.

Some thoughts on a New Year.

Today is almost the last day of the first month of the new year.  2011!  I have lived more than half of a century.  I thought at one time that 2000 was the end of the world.  It just goes to show teenagers are not that smart.  Next month I will be 61 years old.  At 20 I thought 60 was as old as I would every like to be.  Now it ain't so bad.  Well just a few thought on an weekend.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Have a very Good Year!

I have been thinking about the new year.  I am actually optimistic about the year 2011.  I have spoken to several people and they are optimistic also.  I am going to try to keep the good feelings going.  Have a wonderful year.  May it be the best every.

Happy New Year!

Well the holidays are over.  It is a NEW Year.  Between Christmas and New Year's Day, Tom's Son, Daughter-in-law, and two Grandkids (Owen and Eliana) came to visit. We had a wonderful time.  We went to the Children's Museum, NASA, and the Natural History Museum.  We did it on three separate days.  Here are some pics of the good times.

Owen on the couch waiting for Supper
Eliana on the couch waiting for the adults to get ready to go.

 Everyone at NASA!
What is everyone looking at?
Here we are at the Children's Museum.  Hats and all.
